I have had the honor of coming across a new readathon the other day on Tumblr. The readathon is a completely relaxed readathon that focuses on making a dent in those e-galleys we have piling up or that Goodreads goal we are behind on. I really loved the idea of a super relaxed readathon. It was run from May 20th to May 29th in whatever time zone you are in. You don’t need to sign up for this readathon so if you decide the day of that you want to participate you can. There is even a few prompts/suggestions for those who want to take part.
- TBR – You can make a post about your tbr or reading goals for the readathon. Your goal could be to read 8 books. There is no restriction to what you can and can’t do for this readathon. Your tbr and goals are what YOU make it so be sure to have fun!
- Daily Updates – You can do this via tumblr, wordpress, twitter, instagram, and etc. Update everyone on what you have read so far. This is a good way to get motivated if you start to feel sluggish during the readathon.
- Wrap Up – Did you reach your goals? Did you enjoy the books you read? Well this would be the time to talk about it. Let everyone know at the end of the readathon how well you did and if you found any favorite books.
I will be hosting reading sprints over on my tumblr as well. The official schedule for when I’ll be hosting them will be up on the 19th of May. You should see my tbr pile for this readathon go up in the next week or so. Here is the link to the original post on tumblr. Come support a lovely person who is hosting such a lovely readathon.
