The Wishlist Book Tag

This book tag is pretty new to the book scene so I decided to give it a shot. It was created by Kingdom Book Blog so be sure to check out the original post.

Pick the two books you most want to purchase/receive at this moment

The two books that I want to purchase/receive the most are The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas and 27 Hours by Tristina Wright. I have had my eye on The Hate U Give months before the release date. I have it on hold at my library in both physical and ebook form. The amount of positive feedback this book has gotten has me excited to read it. 27 hours has showed up on my radar recently due to The Bookavid’s review of the book. All I know about the book is queer teens in space and that is enough for me since I’m a huge sci-fi nerd.

Pick a book that you have wanted for the longest time

Hmmm that’s hard because my mind usually changes after a while. The one that comes to mind for me though is probably Book of Everything by Nigel Holmes. It’s basically a book about everything. It’s kind of a self help book on travel if I had to put it in a specific genre.

Pick a sequel or companion story that you want to own

OKAY so I really want to own The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli because there was rumors that someone from Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda shows up in the book. It takes place in the same universe as Simon so honestly that has me pretty excited.

Pick an entire series (or box set) that you want to get your hands on

Pick a book from a favorite author of yours that you want to own

This one is pretty hard because I own most of the books by my favorite authors. I am going to go with a book by a new favorite author which is History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera. I read More Happy Than Not a few months ago so I have been dying to read more by him.

Pick a popular book that you really want on your shelves

I kind of already answered this one, but I really want to get The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. That’s the only popular book as of right now that has my interest.

Pick a book that you just recently decided that you wished to own

I really want to own a copy of We Are Okay by Nina LaCour because the hardcover edition of the book is beautiful. I heard the story inside is equally as beautiful. I honestly hope to get a copy of it soon because it sounds wonderful.

Pick a book that is either in the mail or you are going to purchase next

I recently bought Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury and Agent of Chaos by Kami Garcia which should actually arrive by Thursday. I purchased Fahrenheit 451 because I am reading it with my club over the summer. I wanted to have a physical copy of the book so I can take notes for the discussion my club will be having once the fall semester starts up. Agent of Chaos has been on my list long before I started The X Files tv show simply because I liked the idea of it. I recently decided to start The X Files (I’m on season 2 now) so I figured it was time to invest in this book.

Pick a hidden gem novel that you would like to read

The Radium Girls by Kate Moore simply because it gives you more of a background of the radium craze and the girls behind the factories producing items with radium in it. I am a bit of a science nerd (hence why my major in college is related to science) so I am very interested in reading this.

Finally, pick a new release you really want to have

A new release that I really want to get my hands on would have to be You’re Welcome, Universe by Whitney Gardner. This book came out in March so I’m waiting for the library to get it in. I think the concept of the book is really cool. It involves a girl who is deaf that gets transferred to a public school after she covered up some bad art with graffiti.

Okay I’m going to tag Heather at bookandwords, Jackie at toomuchofabooknerd, and whoever else would like to do this tag!
