I have seen this tag floating around for a bit so I decided to take part in it. You basically discuss the first half of the year. I like this idea because it gives me a chance to reflect back on some of the things I have read.
Question 1 – The best book you’ve read so far in 2017
This was one of the first books I read this year. More Happy Than Not honestly has stuck with me all these months later. I keep finding more things to love about it. The story was so captivating, the plot line was interesting, and the characters made you curious. I honestly hope I get the chance to read more of Adam Silvera’s books because this one was amazing.
Question 2 – Your favorite sequel of theyear
I honestly haven’t read any sequels this year which is a bit shocking. I plan on finishing The Mortal Instruments series so I can start The Dark Artifices.
Question 3 – A new release that you haven’t read but really want to
I recently read Simon vs The Homo Sapien’s Agenda and loved it. I knew I wanted to pick The Upside of Unrequited because it deals with LGBT aspects, body positivity, and loads more. It has gotten amazing reviews so I definitely plan to get my hands on a copy as soon as I can.
Question 4 – Most anticipated release for the second half of the year
Wonder Woman : Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo is my most anticipated release for the whole year. I actually have an ARC of this which I’m so excited to read. I plan to read it over the summer and plan out my review for the release in August.
Question 5 – Your biggest disappointment
I really liked the graphics throughout the novel, but it wasn’t anything amazing. I do have a review for this book so feel free to check it out.
Question 6 – Biggest surprise of the year
I honestly did not expect to love Some Kind of Happiness as much as I did. I went into this book knowing that it was middle grade. I’m 20 years old now so I didn’t think middle grade still kept my interest but I was so wrong. I loved this book. The theme behind it is definitely needed for that age group. Question 7 – Favourite new to you or debut author
I am going to have to go with Adam Silvera because I am obsessed with his work. I have only read one of his novels, but it was so good. I highly suggest you check out his books.
Question 8 – Your new fictional crush
Okay I love both Kady and Erza from Illuminae like yes please? I mean they both have their flaws, but that is kind of why I like both of them? I definitely suggest you read Illuminae so I have someone to fangirl with.

I know I have already talked about this book once on this tag. I cried when I read this book. There was just so many different emotions through out the book. The way it ended honestly killed me.

comic book that made you happy
Okay I know America isn’t exactly a book, but it made me really happy. I am so happy to see America in her own series. She is from the Young Avengers universe. She’s a strong kick ass woman who deserves her own spot light.
Question 12 – Your favourite book to movie adaptation that you’ve seen this year
I don’t really have one as of right now. I mean I am really enjoying the Shadowhunters tv show even though they are straying from the book in a few areas.
Question 13 – Favourite book post you’ve done this year
Okay that would probably have to be the disney princess book tag because it was just so much fun to do.
Question 14 – The most beautiful book you have bought/received this year
OKAY I HAVEN’T RECEIVED IT YET BUT I ORDERED THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF HARRY POTTER! I obviously picked the Slytherin edition because that’s my house. I just think they are so beautiful.
