I wasn’t tagged to do this tag but I saw Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm do this tag so I wanted to do this tag.
- You must be honest
- You must answer all of the questions
- You must tag at least 4 people
1 – WHAT BOOK HAS BEEN ON YOUR SHELF THE LONGEST?
It would have to be the great illustrated classic editions of Black Beauty, Little Women, & The Secret Garden. They are so old that the edges are yellowing.
2 – WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT READ, YOUR LAST READ, AND THE BOOK YOU’LL READ NEXT?
Current – Vicious by V.E. Schwab & Chew by John Layman & Rob Guillory
Last Read – Motor Crush by Brenden Fletcher, Cameron Stewart, & Babs Tarr
Future Read – My Life as a White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland
3 – WHAT BOOK DID EVERYONE LIKE, BUT YOU HATED?
The Selection by Kiera Cass. I am probably the only one I know that HATES this book with a passion. I found that it was just too stereotypical for me, the characters fell flat, the story line was underdeveloped, and I felt like nothing was really explained. I told myself that maybe I was too harsh on the book and then I was like “nah it sucked”
4 – WHAT BOOK DO YOU KEEP TELLING YOURSELF YOU’LL READ, BUT YOU PROBABLY WON’T?
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas which I know will upset a lot of you. I just don’t think the book is up my alley. I have read the synopsis a thousand times. It just doesn’t interest me.
5 – WHAT BOOK ARE YOU SAVING FOR YOUR RETIREMENT?
I am going to have to say Lord of the Rings simply because the whole series is so long. I have a bind up edition of the whole series which is roughly 1,000+ pages. It’ll take me until I’m 80 to read it.
6 – LAST PAGE – READ IT FIRST OR WAIT TIL’ THE END?
I must admit that sometimes I’ll read the last sentence of a book simply because I’m nosy. I feel like it helps me finish the book faster because I want to know what it means.
7 – ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: WASTE OF PAPER AND INK, OR INTERESTING ASIDE?
I really enjoy the acknowledgement so no complaints from me.
8 – WHICH BOOK CHARACTER WOULD YOU SWITCH PLACES WITH?
Blue Sargent from The Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater simply because I already get told that I remind people of her. I would LOVE to spend a day or two with the gang. I would read books about history with Gansey, study with Adam, listen to music with Ronan, and play games with Noah.
9 – DO YOU HAVE A BOOK THAT REMINDS YOU OF SOMETHING SPECIFIC IN YOUR LIFE? (PLACE, TIME, PERSON?)
To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee reminds me of my brother. That was his favorite book when he was school so every time I think of it I think of him.
10 – NAME A BOOK THAT YOU ACQUIRED IN AN INTERESTING WAY
I acquired an expensive leather-bound copy of Little Women for super cheap at an antique store. I did some research later on which told me the edition of the book was pretty old.
11 – HAVE YOU EVER GIVEN A BOOK AWAY FOR A SPECIAL REASON TO A SPECIAL PERSON?
I don’t really part with my books. I have loaned books out to people but that’s about it. I tend to buy my friends a copy of the book.
12 – WHICH BOOK HAS BEEN WITH YOU MOST PLACES?
Hmm I would have to say Nancy Drew book because I was always reading it when I was younger.
13 – ANY “REQUIRED READING” YOU HATED IN HIGH SCHOOL THAT WASN’T SO BAD TWO YEARS LATER?
I was the weird one that actually liked a lot of the required reading….so I don’t have an answer for this one.
14 – USED OR BRAND NEW?
Both because I really don’t care as long as the pages aren’t falling out.
15 – HAVE YOU EVER READ A DAN BROWN BOOK?
I have read all of the Robert Langdon series besides Inferno plus the new one that is coming out. I actually really enjoy that series.
16 – HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A MOVIE THAT YOU LIKED MORE THAN THE BOOK?
I don’t think I have one that I liked more than the book but come back to me in a few months.
17 – HAVE YOU EVER READ A BOOK THAT’S MADE YOU HUNGRY, COOKBOOKS INCLUDED?
Yes, I’m always hungry so yeah….
18 – WHO IS THE PERSON WHOS BOOK ADVICE YOU’LL ALWAYS TAKE?
My friend Abs has never failed me in book recs so far so I’m going to have to say her. I am currently reading Vicious because of her.
19 – IS THERE A BOOK OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE (OUTSIDE OF YOUR USUAL READING GENRE) THAT YOU ENDED UP LOVING?
They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera and We Are Okay by Nina LaCour. Those books are both contemporaries which I don’t really read as much.
